"Perfectly Framed" Words of Cheer

I recently "attended" (virtually) a Stampin' Up! training meeting with my teammates and our leader, and I opted to participate in the swap that we had. The theme that we had was "Your Favorite Things", and we could do anything we wanted, a favorite stamp set, a favorite color combination, a favorite technique, etc... (You get the idea!)

I went with a favorite technique. I love to use embossing folders as a background. I also used a new stamp set and some patterned paper (DSP, or Designer Series Paper) that has beautiful floral patterns throughout it. I love flowers, and I love the painterly effect that this DSP has. I also love Stampin' Up!  "Petal Pink". It is one of my favorite colors to work with!

Anyway, here is my swap:

All supplies are available from Stampin' Up:
Stamp Set: Perfectly Framed (Item #151668)
Card Stock: Whisper White Thick (Item #140272)
Blackberry Bliss (Item #133675)
Petal Pink (Item #146985)
Inks: Blackberry Bliss (Item #147092)
Accessories: Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper (Item #149100)
Ornate Frames Dies (Item #150664)
Banner Triple Punch (Item #138292)
Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder (Item #151823)
Petal Pink 1/4" Metallic Edge Ribbon (Item #151194)
Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels (Item #151193)
Stampin' Dimensionals (Item #104430)

It is really pretty in person! Plus, I thought that the sentiment was so fitting for how things are in the world today. We really can get through anything if we stick together. I am so glad that I have all of you to visit me here at my blog! It really lifts my spirits! Thank you so much!

Kathryn

A Couple More Paper Pumpkin Alternate Cards for February 2020 Kit!

I have just a couple more alternate cards for the February 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit (Lovely Day). I really like how these two turned out.

I added a Rococo Rose card base to this first one, plus I added a Stitched Nested Label die-cut in Petal Pink cardstock. I also added a messy, Rose Metallic Thread nest under the flower image. Everything else came from the kit. Oh, except for the greeting. It came from the "Happy Birthday to You" stamp set, which is part of the Sale-A-Bration offerings from this year. (You can get this stamp set for FREE, when you place an order for $50, plus tax and shipping. Contact me in the comments for further information!)

All supplies are from Stampin' Up!:
Paper Pumpkin Subscription Kit - February 2020 (Lovely Day)
Rococo Rose Inkpad (Item #150080)
Rococo rose Cardstock (Item #150882)
Petal Pink Cardstock (Item #146985)
Stitched Nested Labels Dies (Item #149638)
Metallic Thread, Rose (Item #146915)

This card is very similar to the way the card is designed for the kit. I just watercolored the cake image, and added some different sequins to it. (I was just trying to use up the rest of the images and foam words that came with the kit.) I really like the way these cards were designed, so it was hard to put them together in different ways. Such a great kit!

All supplies are from Stampin' Up!:
Paper Pumpkin Subscription Kit - February 2020 (Lovely Day)
So Saffron Ink Pad (Item #147109)
Pool Party Ink Pad (Item #147107)
Pretty Peacock Ink Pad (Item #150085)
Smoky Slate Ink Pad (Item #147113)
Aqua Painter (Item #103954)
Iridescent Sequin Assortment (Item #144212)

I hope to have some more posts for you this week. The branch where I work has been closed for the time being, but not all of the branches for the company that I work for. So... I am "on-call". If they need someone, they can call me and I will go in. Just waitin' for that call!

I hope everyone is doing well. Keeping safe, and keeping healthy! Continue self-isolating, and washing your hands often, and we will get through this together.

Stop back and visit me again soon, and I am sending you all virtual [[Hugs]]!

Thanks,
Kathryn

Meet my Furry Family Members

We have two cats. A Mitted Ragdoll/Siamese mix named "Cinnamon", and an Orange Tabby name "Jack".

Cinnamon is a little over a year and a half old, and she is tiny, petite and adorable. We tell her it's a good thing she is so cute, because she can be such a stinker! LOL!

Jack is our Orange Tabby kitten. He is almost a year old, and he is at least twice the size of Cinnamon!

It was touch-and-go when my husband surprised the family with Jack one day last November when he brought home a 7-month-old rescue kitten. At that time we already had 2 cats (Cinnamon, and 10-year-old Lizzie, a brown tabby). Shortly after he brought Jack home, Lizzie became sick and passed away only a few days later. We were all heart broken, but Jack and Cinnamon were both there to help mend our devastated family.

Anyway, here are some cute pictures of our two cutie pies!

See how much bigger Jack is than Cinnamon!

Cinnamon only weighs about 4 pounds. She's just teeny! My younger son calls her "Fun-size"!

Jack has the cutest little pink nose and toe-beans. He is such a goof-ball!

I hope you enjoyed these pictures of our furry family members! They are a lot of fun!

Stay healthy! Stay safe!

Kathryn

Paper Pumpkin Alternates for February 2020 Kit

I know that we are waiting for the March Paper Pumpkins to show up in our mailboxes, but I have some lovely alternates for the February 2020 kit "Lovely Day", to show you!

All supplies are from Stampin' Up!. Almost everything comes from the kit except for some extra card stock bases, cardstock die-cuts, and assorted inks to coordinate with the kit. (Plus the occasional embellishment.) I even have a few pieces left still, to make a few more cards! Oh, plus I also used the coordinating Sale-A-Bration stamp set, "Happy Birthday to You". (You can get this stamp set for FREE, or something else from the Sale-A-Bration catalog, when you purchase $50.00 in Stampin' Up! product before the end of March. Let me know if you need more details!)

In this first picture, I made the cards as they were designed to be made. Gotta do that, right!? The rest of the cards were all alternates that I came up with.

So take a look at all the fun cards!!!

Here are some close-up of some of these cards:

Some pretty Blends coloring on this card. ^^^

How fun! A shaker card! ^^^

A combination of watercoloring and watercolor pencils! ^^^

A little sequin action going on here, and some pretty lace trim! ^^^

I used the watercolor pencils here to color this image, but I did NOT wet them down. I just used them just like a regular colored pencil. (I love this card!)

If you have any questions about what I used or how I made any of the above cards, just leave me a comment down below and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

And if you want to sign up for your own Paper Pumpkin subscription, I would be honored if you would choose me as your demonstrator. Here is a link that you can click on to take you to my sign-up page:

Here is a little sneaky-peeky for next months kit:

It looks like it will be A-MAZ-ING!!!

I hope you liked my Paper Pumpkin alternates for the February 2020 kit "Lovely Day". I really enjoyed making and sharing all these cards with you!

Thanks for stopping by and visiting!

I Had a "Lily Pad Birthday"

My birthday was last week, and I have just been in the birthday-card-making mood lately! I made this card, and it could be one that I gave myself! HA!

This stamp set is called "Lovely Lily Pad" and it is one of the free offerings from Stampin' Up! for 2020 Sale-A-Bration! (The greeting comes from the set "Peaceful Moments" which is in the Jan. - June 2020 Mini Catalog.) The paper is in this years Sale-A-Bration catalog too, and it is just gorgeous! It has that beautiful hand-painted look that makes me think of Claude Monet and his beautiful impressionistic paintings from his water lily gardens.

Peaceful Moments (Item #151595)

I talked about Sale-A-Bration earlier in my post. If you don't know what Sale-A-Bration is, well, it is Stampin' Up!'s biggest sale of the year! There are many items that are available, but they are not for sale. For every $50 you spend on Stampin' Up! product (before taxes and shipping), you can choose a FREE Sale-A-Bration product. And there is no limit to how many products you can get! Choose something fun and amazing for every $50 purchase. OR, spend $100 and there are additional options! The sale is going on now through March 31st, and are available while supplies last.
