Past Paper Pumpkin Alternates - May 2020 - A Kit in Color

I don't know about you, but sometimes I have stamps and such sitting on my desk for a long time, just waiting for some inspiration to hit. Currently, I have had the May 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit (A Kit in Color) sitting there, just waiting for something to come to me and give me some inspiration.

Well, my patience has paid off! I have 3 cards to show you that use the "A Kit in Color" May 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Let me show you:

Using a few supplies that were not included in the Paper Pumpkin kit itself, I made these three cards. The card bases were from my own personal supplies, plus the rhinestones, the flower punch and the small circle punch, the Misty Moonlight card stock, and the white embossing powder and Versamark Ink. Also the greeting on the Magenta Madness striped card is from the "Here's A Card" stamp set. I think everything else is from the original kit. I love how these three cards turned out!

I hope that you like these cards as much as I do. If you have this kit, maybe you can try CASE-ing one, two, or all three cards.

Thanks for stopping by,

Kathryn

Paper Pumpkin Alternate Cards for April 2020 Kit

I love the April 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit! So many cute elements to play with, and so many cute cards to make! Here are three more cards that I designed that I want to share with you!

Most of the supplies I used to make these cards were from the April 2020 kit called "No Matter the Weather". The greetings and images in this kit were so inspired for what is going on in the world today. I used the "Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder" on the Daffodil Delight piece of card stock behind the focal point image. I love how it brings out the daffodils that are inside the cute rain boots. And that little bunny die-cut is so cute.
On this card I used the little bunny stamp that comes in this kit. I love bunnies that have the markings that look like a Siamese kitty, so I thought I would try my hand at coloring the cute little bunny like that using my Stampin' Blends markers. I especially like how the scalloped stitched rectangle looks like you're looking through a window into a brighter day ahead. I think we are all looking forward to those days again, right?!

Now I must admit that I was highly inspired by Rachel Tessman's card of a similar design. I hope she doesn't mind that I used her design for this card. It was so beautiful, but simple. Thank you Rachel, for your inspiration! Also the greeting and the little "sprinkles" behind the pretty posies are from the stamp set "Perfectly Framed". And the Shaded Spruce Rhinestones are from the "Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels". (I sure do love those rhinestones. So glad that they will be carrying over into the new catalog in June!)

Thank you for stopping by and looking at my card designs. I hope you like them as much I enjoyed making them.

Alternate Card Designs for the March 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit

The March 2020 Paper Pumpkin subscription kit is so adorable!! Not only is it super cute, but considering the times we are living in right now, it is so appropriate for what we are going through. I'm sure you know someone who could use a little "pick-me-up" card in the mail that you made just for them.

So far, I have made 3 alternate card designs using the "No Matter the Weather" kit that I want to share with you today.

Here is the first one. We have some cute, older lady friends that are very special to our family, and we just wanted them to know that we were thinking of them. I made this card just for them. Everything on this card is from the March Paper Pumpkin kit except for the Whisper White card base, the Iridescent Sequin Assortment,  and the inks (Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, and Petal Pink). The bunny and the cute rain boots are from the bonus stamp set that was included in the March kit. Plus the patterned paper was from the "Pleased As Punch" Designer Series Paper that was only available during Sale-A-Bration with the  coordinating products. (But I'm sure you could use something else that would be just as cute!"

This next card uses one of the card fronts as a type of patterned paper. It is the piece with the girl in the rain boots, with the blue sky background. I mounted it on a Pear Pizzazz card base. The label with the greeting on it came from the kit also. The flower pots and the greeting both came from the stamp sets that came in the kit, plus the little epoxy dots. I used a piece that I punched with the Decorative Ribbon Border punch on the opening edge of the card also. I used the Aqua Painter brush to color the leaves and the pots. The flowerpots are a two-step stamping set. You stamp the line-art pot with the flowers, and then you can color the flowers with another stamp in the stamp set. I stamped the flowers in So Saffron, Flirty Flamingo, and Petal Pink, and painted the leaves with Pear Pizzazz, and the pots with Soft Suede.

My third card is one of my favorites. The kit comes with some printed die-cuts. One of them is this set of rainbow-hued rain boots that I used here. When I cut the card front off from the flower pot card above, I still had a whisper white back that I could use, so that is the piece I used here.  I took my Aqua Painter brush, and using the colors of the rain boots to inspire me, I painted some stripes of color. The colors I used were: Balmy Blue, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Petal Pink, and Poppy Parade. (I think those boots on the far right side are supposed to be Calypso Coral, but I think the Poppy Parade still looks okay.) I then stamped some Balmy Blue "rain puddle" lines underneath the boots, plus some stamped-off clouds and then cut them out by hand (fussy-cut). I mounted it on a Balmy Blue card base. I used one of the dies from the "Ornate Frames" die-set to cut the little label at the bottom after I had stamped the greeting. I mounted two of the clouds, the boots and the greeting label using Stampin' Dimensionals, and then added some of the epoxy rain drops to finish my card off. I really like this one!

I hope you like the alternate cards that I have come up with so far. I am enjoying using the "No Matter the Weather" Paper Pumpkin kit, and I hope to have some more alternate cards to show you from this kit in the near future.

And if you're wondering about the April 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit, just watch this video that tells about the wonderful card kit that is available up until April 10th.

A Couple More Paper Pumpkin Alternate Cards for February 2020 Kit!

I have just a couple more alternate cards for the February 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit (Lovely Day). I really like how these two turned out.

I added a Rococo Rose card base to this first one, plus I added a Stitched Nested Label die-cut in Petal Pink cardstock. I also added a messy, Rose Metallic Thread nest under the flower image. Everything else came from the kit. Oh, except for the greeting. It came from the "Happy Birthday to You" stamp set, which is part of the Sale-A-Bration offerings from this year. (You can get this stamp set for FREE, when you place an order for $50, plus tax and shipping. Contact me in the comments for further information!)

All supplies are from Stampin' Up!:
Paper Pumpkin Subscription Kit - February 2020 (Lovely Day)
Rococo Rose Inkpad (Item #150080)
Rococo rose Cardstock (Item #150882)
Petal Pink Cardstock (Item #146985)
Stitched Nested Labels Dies (Item #149638)
Metallic Thread, Rose (Item #146915)

This card is very similar to the way the card is designed for the kit. I just watercolored the cake image, and added some different sequins to it. (I was just trying to use up the rest of the images and foam words that came with the kit.) I really like the way these cards were designed, so it was hard to put them together in different ways. Such a great kit!

I hope to have some more posts for you this week. The branch where I work has been closed for the time being, but not all of the branches for the company that I work for. So... I am "on-call". If they need someone, they can call me and I will go in. Just waitin' for that call!

I hope everyone is doing well. Keeping safe, and keeping healthy! Continue self-isolating, and washing your hands often, and we will get through this together.

Stop back and visit me again soon, and I am sending you all virtual [[Hugs]]!

Paper Pumpkin Alternates for February 2020 Kit

I know that we are waiting for the March Paper Pumpkins to show up in our mailboxes, but I have some lovely alternates for the February 2020 kit "Lovely Day", to show you!

All supplies are from Stampin' Up!. Almost everything comes from the kit except for some extra card stock bases, cardstock die-cuts, and assorted inks to coordinate with the kit. (Plus the occasional embellishment.) I even have a few pieces left still, to make a few more cards! Oh, plus I also used the coordinating Sale-A-Bration stamp set, "Happy Birthday to You". (You can get this stamp set for FREE, or something else from the Sale-A-Bration catalog, when you purchase $50.00 in Stampin' Up! product before the end of March. Let me know if you need more details!)

In this first picture, I made the cards as they were designed to be made. Gotta do that, right!? The rest of the cards were all alternates that I came up with.

So take a look at all the fun cards!!!

Here are some close-up of some of these cards:

Some pretty Blends coloring on this card. ^^^

How fun! A shaker card! ^^^

A combination of watercoloring and watercolor pencils! ^^^

A little sequin action going on here, and some pretty lace trim! ^^^

I used the watercolor pencils here to color this image, but I did NOT wet them down. I just used them just like a regular colored pencil. (I love this card!)

If you have any questions about what I used or how I made any of the above cards, just leave me a comment down below and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

And if you want to sign up for your own Paper Pumpkin subscription, I would be honored if you would choose me as your demonstrator. Here is a link that you can click on to take you to my sign-up page:

Here is a little sneaky-peeky for next months kit:

It looks like it will be A-MAZ-ING!!!

I hope you liked my Paper Pumpkin alternates for the February 2020 kit "Lovely Day". I really enjoyed making and sharing all these cards with you!

Thanks for stopping by and visiting!
