Halloween Paper Pumpkin Card

Halloween is upon us! I made some cute cards to give to some friends, using a couple of the past Paper Pumpkin kits. Hope everyone has a fun day, and a not-to-spooky evening! Happy Halloween everyone!

I love doing a z-fold card. First you fold it in half, then fold the top half back on itself, in half again. I don't think the Paper Pumpkin kits I used are still available, and neither is the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper, but that's okay. It's still cute!
All supplies used are from Stampin' Up!:
Stamps: Paper Pumpkin: Sept. 2014 - Boo-tiful Bags, and Sept. 2015 - Wickedly Sweet Treat
Inks: Archival Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Lime Twist
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Cardstock Vellum
Accessories: Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper

Again, I hope everyone has a happy Halloween, and thanks for stopping by!

Remarkable You Sweater Weather #TGIFC130

Sweater weather! That is what we have been having here lately. Dark mornings on the way to work. Frost on the grass in the morning. Leaves turning all shades of red and orange and yellow. It is beautiful, but, I must admit, I am not a fan of the cold weather. But it does encourage me to stay inside and craft more!

Over on TGIF Challenges blog, the challenge this week is a theme challenge called "Sweater Weather" and it is #TGIFC130. Here is my entry:

All supplies are from Stampin' Up!:
Stamp sets: Remarkable You, Basket of Wishes
Inks: Archival Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Lemon Lime Twist, Pumpkin Pie
Card Stock: Whisper White Thick, Card Stock Vellum, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Big Shot, Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder,
Aqua Brush, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

The leaves on some of the trees around here turn a beautiful shade of gold, and some of them have tinges of pale green and orange, and this was the look I was trying to go for when I watercolored those leaves. They definitely have that Fall/Autumn look to them I think. And if you couldn't tell, this card has a Z-fold on it, with that Cable Knit embossing folder used on the front half-flap.

Here is the Challenge Graphic from over on TGIF Challenges blog:

Thanks so much for visiting my little blog today. I hope you like my card, and I hope you come back soon!

Scenic Sayings Flower Patch Friendship Card

Recently, I held a Stampin' Up! workshop where we made our own patterned paper and created four different cards. I had some leftover card kits afterward, and so I decided to create some new cards with them.

I wanted to teach my class about "Random Stamping." This is where you take 3 or 4 stamps, varying in size from a large stamp to a medium and a small stamp. I used the "Flower Patch" stamp set, using one of the largest, solid flowers. I was able to layer another large-ish stamp on top of this one, giving it a wonderful bit of depth. Then I had a medium flower, a leaf sprig, and a small daisy-like stamp to fill in the holes.

In a recent Paper Pumpkin kit (March 2016, "Pocketful of Cheer"), the paper had a wonderful color combination, and I was inspired to use a similar color combination, but adding a pop of Daffodil Delight. I also made it a Z-Fold card. I love the large piece of patterned paper on the front. It adds a wonderful bit of color and detail! The greeting is from the new stamp set "Scenic Sayings." But rather than just rambling on, why don't I just show you my card.

All Supplies are from Stampin' Up! unless otherwise stated:
Stamp Sets: Flower Patch, Scenic Sayings
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Cucumber Crush, Daffodil Delight
Card Stock: Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Cucumber Crush, Whisper White
Accessories: Brights Candy Dots (retired), Dimensionals

I made more cards with this paper, but I will save them to show you another time. I hope you like this one!

Thanks for stopping by to see my card. I appreciate your visit!

Global Design Project #027: Theme Thank You Card

I really should do more of these challenge blogs. Sometimes, though, I just don't see them in time to get something created, photographed and posted to my blog in time. But TODAY was different. I know that the time is getting close to the challenge being closed, but I think I made it! YAY!

I have been admiring and loving the inspiration pieces that I see on the Global Design Project blog for several months now, but have not participated in it up until now. The theme for this challenge was  "thank you". Here is my card.

All Supplies are from Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted:
Stamp sets: Remarkable You, Bloomin' Love, and Crazy About You
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Whisper White
Ink Pads: StazOn Jet Black, Pink Pirouette, Cucumber Crush, So Saffron
Accessories: Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper, Big Shot, Ovals Collection Framelits, Paper Snips, Dimensionals, Blender Pens

I know it is hard to tell that the flower image is cut out, so I included another view of it. It is also a Z-Fold card, which is a bit easier to tell from this other image. The banner is also "fussy cut" and popped up.

Here is the banner from the Global Design Project Challenge blog:

I hope that you like my challenge entry, and enjoy all the other entries that have been posted as well. #GDP027

Thanks for visiting,
