Peaceful Season's Greetings

"Peaceful Boughs" is a wonderful stamp set that is made by Stampin' Up! It has a coordinating die set called "Beautiful Boughs" that I also used to make the pine cone, and the pine bough. The pale green leaves and the gold foil branches are from the "In the Woods" die set. I love to layer my die cuts. It gives such a feeling of dimension and depth.

The wood patterned paper is from the "In Good Taste" Designer Series Paper. It has so many great patterns that have that photo-realism look to them. Wood, stone, textiles, etc... It is a great collection of papers!

And with the Real Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the Real Red/Whisper White stitched trim from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack topping it off with a cute little bow, my card is all done!

Forever Fern Christmas Card!

I wanted to make a Christmas card using a stamp set that maybe you wouldn't think of as a Christmas set. So I picked out the Forever Fern stamp and die bundle.

Here is my finished card:

All supplies available from StampinUp.com :
Stamp sets: Forever Fern (Item #152559)
Banner Year (Item #153464)
Ink Pads: Shaded Spruce (Item #147088)
Pear Pizzazz (Item #147104)
Cardstock: Shaded Spruce (Item #146981)
Pear Pizzazz (Item #131201)
Real Red (Item #102482)
Whisper White (Item #100730)
Accessories: Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine (Item #149653)
Forever Flourishing Die Set (Item #152714)
Lovely Labels Pick-A-Punch (Item #152883)
Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels (Item #146924)
Stampin' Dimensionals (Item #104430)

I stamped 6 of the leaf clusters in Shaded Spruce, and 6 more of a smaller leaf cluster in the Pear Pizzazz. Then, using the die set, I ran them through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine to cut them all out easily. I also used the little sprig die, and cut out 6 of them in Real Red cardstock. I then layed them out in a circle, alternating the dark green leaves with the lighter green leaves, gluing them together when I was happy with the arrangement and shape. I tucked the little red sprigs in here and there where I thought they looked good. I still thought it needed something, so that is when I added the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels. It added just the right amount of color and sparkle! Then I attached the wreath to my card using the Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up a bit.

FOREVER FERN BUNDLE (ENGLISH)
Forever Fern stamp set/die bundle (Item #154094, save 10% off the regular un-bundled price!)

Since Forever Fern is not traditionally a Christmas set, it has no Christmas greetings included in the stamp set. I chose to use the stamp set "Banner Year" which is in the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. It has greetings and small images that can cover several different holidays, from Halloween to Valentine's Day!

BANNER YEAR PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET (ENGLISH)
Banner Year Stamp Set (Item #153464)

I hope you like my Christmas wreath card. I think it turned out wonderful! If you would like to order any  of the supplies to make this card yourself, I would be thrilled if you listed me as your demonstrator!

Thanks for stopping in to visit!

Christmas (Card) in July!

Today is July 25th! Christmas is 5 months from today! I know that some people think that it is too early to start thinking about Christmas, but if you are a crafter, then it is probably just the right time to start making your Christmas cards.

So...I made my first Christmas card today. The Stampin' Up! August-December 2020 Mini Catalog goes live in about a week and a half, and it it full of all sorts of holidays wonderfulness! As a demonstrator, I am able to pre-purchase things from the mini catalog a month before it goes live to the general public. It's one of the perks of being a demonstrator! If you have any questions about becoming a demonstrator, feel free to contact me, and we can talk about it! I would love to have you as a member of my team!

Anyway, here is my Christmas card for today:

All supplies are currently, or will soon be, available from Stampin' Up!:
Stamp set: Sweetest Time (coming soon!)
Ink pad: Shaded Spruce (Item #147088)
Cardstock: Shaded Spruce (Item #146981)
Pear Pizzazz (Item #131201)
Real Red (Item #102482)
Whisper White Thick (Item #140272)
Accessories: Sweetest Borders Dies (coming soon!)
Stitched Rectangle Dies (Item #151820)
Wonderful Gems (coming soon!)
Stampin' Dimensionals (Item #104430)

I think I love the border dies in this die set. There is the holly berries, ivy and evergreen boughs, plus there is one that has candy canes and round peppermint candies. There are other dies in the set, and I think I love them all! I can see so many cute cards and tags that can be made using not only the dies, but the adorable stamp set also.

These are not the only cute products in the upcoming catalog, but there are so many other fun things that will be available starting on August 4th. If you would like a catalog, and you don't already currently have a demonstrator that you work with, just leave me a comment, and I will get back with you and get you a catalog.

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate it!

Some Peaceful, Beautiful Boughs

About a week ago I made this blue card (on the left) because I had some leftover silver foil paper boughs from another card that I had been working on. I loved it so much that I decided that I needed to make another one, but using a different piece of "Feels Like Frost" Designer Series Paper (DSP). This paper is so beautiful that it sold out before the catalog time-frame was over. It was in my first order that I placed when the holiday catalog became available to purchase from. Beautiful photographically realistic pictures on one side, and silver foil on white graphic prints on the other side.

Take a look:

All supplies are from Stampin' Up! unless otherwise specified:
Stamp set: Peaceful Boughs (Item #150541)
Ink Pads: Night of Navy (Item #147110)
Basic Gray (Item #149165)
Cardstock: Whisper White Thick (Item #140272)
Seaside Spray (Item #150883)
Highland Heather (Item #146986)
Accessories: Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper (Item #150444) -- unavailable at this time
Silver Foil Paper (Item #132178)
Beautiful Boughs Dies (Item #150661)
Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels (Item #150457)
Rhinestone Basic Jewels (Item #144220)
Stampin' Dimensionals (Item #104430)

Aren't they beautiful!? Sometimes the most simple cards are the most striking! I stamped the greeting in Night of Navy ink, and those blue rhinestones are from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels set. The colors that are included in this collection of rhinestones are: Night of Navy (these are the ones I used), Cherry Cobbler, Coastal Cabana, Pumpkin Pie, and Shaded Spruce. They are just gorgeous!

This purple one is also stunning! I stamped the greeting with Basic Gray, and used the regular clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels on it.

The designs in this collection of patterned papers are so beautiful. Frosty, and snowy, and icy. They may not be available anymore in this holiday catalog, but I am so happy that they will be coming back in next years holiday catalog!

Let me know which one you like best in the comments.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting my little blog. I really appreciate it!

Beautiful Silver Boughs Christmas Card, and A Big Sale!

When I was a very little girl, my parents had a silver aluminum Christmas Tree. It had one of those rotating wheels that would shine lights up onto the tree, and the silver branches would catch the colors of the light and reflect them on to the ceiling and walls. I loved looking at that tree, and when I was older and had a home of my own, my father let me have that tree and light. I also remember some of the ornaments that my parents and grandparents had. Some of them were pink and others were green and they had that silver cast to them. They were called mercury glass ornaments, and I really loved them. I have just a few of those ornaments now, but I don't have the tree anymore. I gave it to my younger brother and he was able to enjoy it for several years.

The Beautiful Boughs Die set made me think of that silver aluminum tree, so I decided to create my own version of that tree. I didn't have a color wheel that I could shine on it, but I do have a stamp set and matching punch that I thought would convey my thoughts about that fun tree. The stamp set is called "Making Christmas Bright," and the punch is the "Christmas Bulb Builder". The light pink and mint green lights give that vintage feel to it, I think.

Take a look and tell me what you think:

Cookie Cutter Christmas Card with Tin of Tags

10 days and counting down! Christmas is getting closer and closer!

I love the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set! Santa, reindeer, gingerbread man, teddy bear, and this cute little guy, an eskimo! Isn't he adorable!? I also used the Tin of Tags stamp set that coordinates with the Tin of Tags Project Kit. The greeting and the big snowflake in the background are from it. I  used the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch to punch out the little eskimo. So EASY! Love it! And I colored it using a blender pen and my ink pads. That cute little red heart is one of the shapes punched out by the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch too.

All supplies are available from Stampin' Up!:
Stamp sets: Cookie Cutter Christmas (#142043), Tin of Tags (#142180)
Inks: StazOn Jet Black (#101406), Real Red (#126949), Island Indigo (#126986),
Crumb Cake (#126975), Blushing Bride (#131172)

Merry Mice are Decking the Halls

I love to color! Whether I am using an aqua brush and paints, or my blender pens, or my Prismacolor Pencils, I am one happy camper if I can be coloring an image. I have a few coloring books, but one of my favorite things to color are the images in my stamp sets. This set is called "Merry Mice" and it has 3 images that are just adorable and so fun to color. On these three little cuties, I used my blender pen and my ink pad lids with a little ink smooshed on to it to color them.

All supplies are from Stampin' Up! unless otherwise specified:
Stamp set: Merry Mice (#142145)
Inks: StazOn Jet Black (#101406), Dapper Denim (#141394), Cherry Cobbler (#1269660, Cucumber Crush (#138324), Crushed Curry (#131173), Crumb Cake (#126975), Blushing Bride (#131172), Smoky Slate (#131179)
Card stock: Crumb Cake (#120953), Whisper White Thick (#140272)
Accessories: Blender Pens (#102845), Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Paper Stack (#141991),
Metallic Foil Doilies (#138392), 5/8" Burlap Ribbon (#141487), Dimensionals (#104430)

These little mice are so cute! When I saw this stamp set for the very first time, I just knew that I was going to be getting it! I hope you like it too!

A Christmas Card Wrapped in a Cable Knit Sweater

So. I have been so busy lately that I haven't had a chance to even think, let alone post on my blog. It is so frustrating being so tired that I can barely care for my family, let alone craft a card or write a blog post. But here I am today. I have a small stash of cards to show you, so I will do the best I can to share with you for a few days coming up.

Here is my first offering. A Christmas card! I love the set "Suite Seasons". It is full of fun greetings that cover many of the holidays that occur at this time of year, such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, and...Christmas! It even includes a greeting for cards that you might need for sending comfort. Here is my card:

All supplies used are from Stampin' Up!:
Stamp Sets: Suite Seasons, Warmth and Cheer
Inks: Archival Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Accessories: Big Shot, Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, 1" Circle Punch, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Paper Stack, Gold Glimmer Paper, Tomboy Multi Liquid Glue, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals

In the close-up, you can see that the little circle heart punch is composed of a few punched layers that I glued together and stacked up on top of each other. I believe I used four layers. I have heard it called "Faux Chipboard". Sounds good to me, so that is what I will call it too! I also love the "Cable Knit" Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder,. It gives so much texture to the background piece! I can't wait to see what other kinds of Dynamic Embossing Folders Stampin' Up! comes out with in the future!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Merry Everything Card #tgifc79

Over on the TGIF Challenge Blog this past week, they have been trying out a new challenge. It is called the Designer Spotlight Challenge, and the designer this week is Krista Frattin. Krista is a member of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team, and she is A-MA-ZING!

Here is my card, inspired by Krista, for the #tgifc79 challenge!

All supplies are from Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted:
Stamp Set: Suite Seasons
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Accessories: Warmth and Cheer Designer Series Paper Stack, Big Shot, Layering Circles Framelits Dies, Garden Green Stampin' Write Marker, Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker,
Circle Punches: 1-3/4", 3/4", 1/2", Gold Metallic Thread, Dimensionals

I created the holly leaves by punching a 1-3/4" circle. Then, using the same punch, I punched two leaf shapes from that one circle. Then I took the 3/4" circle and reverse-scallop punched the edges so that they looked like holly leaves. The berry was a 1/2" circle punch.

When trying to decide what to use as inspiration, I went over to Pinterest to find some of Krista's boards to be inspired for my card. And boy did I find some! She has some very amazing boards, and they are linked to her wonderful blog. Here is the card that inspired my creation.

I hope you like my card, and that you check out the other cards and designers over at tgifchallengesblog.blogspot.com .

I watercolored this little cutie using my Classic Ink Pads and an Aqua Painter.

All supplies are from Stampin' Up! unless otherwise specified:

Your Presents Christmas Card

Just some Christmas card inspiration, in case you need an idea for a card.

This stamp set, called "Your Presents" was designed to be used with the KISS-ing technique, which is where you ink up the patterned stamp, and then you take the large solid stamp and "KISS" them together, or rather, press them together carefully. This way the design from the one stamp is transferred to the large solid area of the other stamp. I used this technique on the striped ornament and the ornament with the little tree pattern on it. The red ornament is the large solid stamp and I just inked it up like you would regularly do with my Cherry Cobbler ink pad.

All Supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted:
Stamp set: Your Presents
Cardstock: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Soft Sky
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy, Pear Pizzazz, Hello Honey
Accessories: Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper, Rhinestones Basic Jewels, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Paper Snips, Project Life Journaling Pens, Dimensionals, Stampin' Sponges

I know that this is a really busy time of year for a lot of us, so I appreciate you stopping by to take a look at my work! If you want to order any Stampin' Up! supplies to create this card (or anything else from Stampin' Up!) and you live in the United States, just leave me a comment and I will get right back to you!

Thanks,
Kathryn
